
In her role as senior director for global programs, Laurie collaborates with program directors and international partners to deliver Arcadia's educational mission. Laurie’s international education career spans 25+ years and has focused on strategic partnerships, marketing, enrollment, and program development and administration. Starting as a study abroad adviser at University of Vermont., she then joined School for International Training as admissions counselor for SIT Study Abroad. Over the course of 20+ years, she became dean for external relations and strategic enrollment management for high school, undergraduate, and graduate programs. Laurie next served as inaugural director of the high school/pre-college division at CET Academic Programs where she developed a portfolio of programs with college credit for high school and gap students. Prior to joining 黑料不打烊 in 2025, Laurie was dean of enrollment management at Sea Education Association.
Laurie has been active in international education organizations, presenting at conferences and serving on committees for Forum on Education Abroad, NAFSA, Fund for Education Abroad, and DA Global (formerly Diversity Abroad). Topics have included access/inclusion, undergraduate research, program portfolio development, and risk management.
Laurie earned her BA in Sociology/Rhetoric & Communications at University of Virginia and MA in International Education at SIT Graduate Institute. She studied in London through Arcadia as an undergraduate and later lived in New Zealand and Australia for two years. Laurie has traveled extensively in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, and Oceania. She has lived in southern Vermont for many years and appreciates the rural environment, natural beauty, engaged communities, and lack of billboards. She also enjoys her two adult children who are dual US/New Zealand citizens, trying new recipes from New York Times Cooking, and playing softball, pickleball, and word games.
